A House of Hope and Healing

Garland Oaks is the vision of Street Hope TN, a nonprofit organization in East Tennessee focused on bringing an end to the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children in Tennessee and providing safe environments to foster hope and healing through Jesus Christ.

The Name: Garland Oaks

The name Garland Oaks is derived from Isaiah 61 where the Lord says He will give the brokenhearted and those set free a garland of beauty instead of ashes and make them solid oaks, restored and firmly planted in him.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord anointed me
To bring good news to the humble;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to captives and freedom to prisoners;
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
Isaiah 61:1-3

The Story of Garland Oaks

The mission of Garland Oaks is to provide a safe and healing place for domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) survivors.

Our Core Beliefs

The mission of Garland Oaks is to provide a safe and healing place for domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) survivors. The following verses inform our beliefs about survivors of DMST.

No life is too broken to be healed by God
(Luke 4:17-21).
Every life is significantly valued and loved by God
(John 3:16).
Jesus Christ is the one who heals and restores
(Psalm 147:3, 34:17-18).
Each survivor can “abound in hope”
(Romans 15:13).

His Love. Her Story. Your Help.

Garland Oaks is faith-driven and donation-supported. Every gift of time or resources helps us create a home of restoration, share the hope of Jesus and change the story of a DMST survivor.

Stay informed.
